The MACH is proud to present a full line-up of r/c industry sponsors to support the 2012 IFMAR Worlds 1:10 and 1:12 scale electric in Heemstede, the Netherlands. Only with the financial support of our sponsors it is possible to organize the 2 major events.


The 1:10 ISTC event will be organized on the well known MACH outdoor track, which will have a special chicane added to the backstraight to top off some of the enormous speeds the brushless and LiPo powered cars are capable of today. Without the chicane the cars would probably go well over 120 km/h and we could see rubber tires explode. With just 2 sets available for the whole event that is not what we would like to see happen. With the chicane added the MACH track has also been transformed into a very interesting 1:10 electric course presenting the racers with a true World Championship level challenge.
The 1:12 sportscar event will be held in Sportplaza Heemstede, less than 1km away from the MACH track. This is an excellent facility with a swimming pool and restaurant. The ’CRC Fasttrack HD’ track surface will be flown in US, this carpet is recognized as one of the best racing surfaces available.
With 150 racers for 1:10 and 100 racers for 1:12 both events are fully subscribed. The 2012 IFMAR Worlds will receive wide internet coverage. LIVERC.COM from the US will be broadcasting both events live, RCRACING.TV from the UK will do daily video reports and REDRC.NET will be doing their up to the hour reports and videos live from Heemstede. Race results will be available from RC Timing including live lap-time streaming.

HOTELS
Motel Haarlem Zuid has been appointed as the official Worlds hotel, also the awards banquet will be held at this hotel. Up until middle of May single, double, triple and quadruple rooms are available at €30 below the normal prices, the rooms include a buffet breakfast.
