Sealing your servos
Hi Some days ago i was out bashing my LST2, but i soon got a problem with my throttle servo. The servo gave full throttle some times i didnt, and since the problem was in the servo, the failsafe didnt engage. Well, i got lucky, no crash... However, I had not sealed the throttle servo, and since its spring time in Norway, its pretty wet, that thick layer of slush on the roads (most likely containing salt, grr). When i opened the servo, i found large drops of water inside, this servo was soaked inside. I found out after i sealed my futaba throttle servo, i could make a tech tip, showing how i did it, just to help out the people who hasnt done it before. So, I took a SF-1 servo i had laying around, and sealed it too, taking pictures of the process. You can find it in "tips" on my HOMEPAGE I will also make a walk trough on this site as well...
Sealing your servo How to seal your servo. Here shown on an extra HPI SF-1 servo I had laying around... This should be done to any new servo, to prevent water and any other liquids that conducts current coming into the servo, and damaging the components. This will make your servo more durable, will prevent shaking caused by short circuit. If you are sealing a used servo, make sure to dry it on a hot and dry place for a couple of days. Open up the servo, and lay it for example on top of your refrigerator, hot air will flow upwards, and dry it fast. You can also hang it over an oven, but make sure its not to hot. Also make sure the circuit board is clean. Whats needed: Water-proof grease (i used Prather Cable Grease, thick stuff). Start with taking the servo apart, and follow the steps showed below: I start with applying grease to the circuit board on the bottom of the servo. If any water gets inside the servo, its less likely to damage the circuit.
Seal all the edges and the outgoing axle...
Apply a bit extra grease to the screws before you screw them in. This way they wont leak.
After you have done all this and tightened the screws, you should see a thin line of grease pressed out, this way you know its enough grease, and that it covers all the way around.

Now its just to wipe of extra grease, but make sure to leave some around the screws...
Hope this helps. Good luck!

Originally posted by Magnus89 View PostHvordan fikse bulkete potter:

man får da 4 planethjul i diffen

Festing Av Lst-demperne Uten Mod Kitt For Savage
Hei
